The #Twifridoodle was originally conceived as a way to keep myself drawing and thinking on my feet. The idea was to do it in real time after the request, execute something and immediately post it back on Twitter. Sometimes this worked well, other times I wasn’t as proud of the outcome, but I did it and it was out there warts and all. Overall looking back on 2011, it was a fun year of #Twifridoodling and here is a compilation of some of my favorites.
- For @owentheowen: “A fork with an eyepatch”
- For @dain who had a problem with gnats swarming in his kitchen
- For @socialstreger: “A cure for my hangover.”
- For @geester: “Something with a hedgehog!”
- For @loriming: “A hipster narwhal”
- For @kingofsafari: “A jellyfish”
- For @caseyligon: “Mother Nature, personified”
- For Decide-O-Matic 3000: “Instant Mummy”
- For @sketchbob ”Every morning, the overwhelming sense of dread hit him 15 mins. before the alarm.”
- For @dain: “Angel Eyes”
- For Decide-O-Matic 3000: “Incompetent Intake”
- For @david_sizemore: “Die Hard 16″
- For @bishopia: “A Hobo with snakes for arms”
- For @jmaruyama: “Yoda”
I sincerely appreciate all the interest and enthusiasm around it. The best part was the interaction with everyone making requests. Thanks go out to all those who joined in the fun, I look forward to another year of these. As a reminder, I do the #twifridoodle sessions most Fridays starting at 10AM. Send a request to @jayrodesign, I’d love to hear from you.
